A tornado so intense that it engulfed Omaha caused the National Weather Service (NWS) to issue a tornado emergency.
A violent tornado wreaked havoc on the outskirts of Omaha, Nebraska, on Friday afternoon, leaving a trail of destruction. The powerful twister tore through miles of farmland and residential areas, causing extensive damage to hundreds of homes and buildings. Injuries were also reported, but the number of casualties remains unknown.
According to a report on MSN's website, nebraska Multiple tornadoes were seen, with a particularly devastating funnel cloud moving from the countryside into the northwest suburbs of Omaha, a bustling city of 485,000 people.

Social media platforms were flooded with images depicting the aftermath of the disaster, including heavily damaged homes and uprooted trees. Video showed a harrowing scene with roofs torn off and debris scattered. Countryside outside Omahalaw enforcement officials responded quickly and secured the affected area.
The Elkhorn neighborhood in Omaha's west side bore the brunt of the tornado's fury. Local police Lt. Neil Bonacci confirmed extensive property damage to hundreds of homes. Amid the chaos, emergency responders began a concerted effort to go door-to-door to help those trapped and in need, MSN reported.
