You don't have to go beyond your budget to make your bathroom look luxurious.
A DIY pro shares an easy hack to upgrade your toilet paper holder.
Michelle McRae (@shellychicboutique) demonstrated a simple trick for her followers in her video.
The Instagrammer revealed that the upgrade only took a few minutes to complete.
As a first step, Michelle purchased an inexpensive silver toilet paper stand with a holder and storage area for additional rolls.
She decided to prime and paint the silver skeleton of the toilet paper stand.
Michelle described the spray painting process as a “5 minute paint job.”
Once the paint was dry, I used rope to lift the storage section.
She wrapped the rope vertically around the stand, hiding the area where the extra rolls were placed.
Michelle explained that she was trying to give Holder “a cute little basket to put toilet paper in.”
She showed her followers a before and after comparison of the holder.
As a final touch, I used some folding and stamping techniques to make the toilet paper look like a flower.
I rolled the end of the roll into a flower shape and then placed it under the bathroom faucet.
Instead of flushing, she shoved toilet paper under the faucet and used the moisture to seal the flowers in place.
Michelle told the audience she was “obsessed” with DIY upgrades.
Her followers shared their thoughts on the hack in the comments section.
One viewer wrote that they were impressed, saying it was a “huge improvement, looks more polished.”
