As soon as we heard the news that the new Flatpack Hero was coming to the UK, we were keen to try it out.
Easy Klix by Forte has just launched exclusively with John Lewis & Partners, offering a 19-piece furniture collection that can all be assembled in just 30 minutes.
And so we got our coffee table design and tried out three colors (including our favorite, sage green).
We set DIY novice and beauty assistant Mia Lindon the challenge of assembling a £149 coffee table in just 30 minutes.
The Polish brand claims its designs can be built 10 times faster than others. That includes a huge three-door wardrobe for £499.
It's all thanks to the innovative click system.
Threespine ID technology allows you to disassemble and rebuild your furniture multiple times, making it ideal for first-time homebuyers and those who move frequently.
But will someone like Mia, who confesses that she can't DIY, be able to master making furniture for the first time?
The only thing Mia had made before this amazing challenge was a computer desk chair.
“I had to FaceTime my dad to do it and it ended up ruining me afterwards anyway!” Mia explains.
So how easy was it for her to assemble the Easy Klix coffee table?
“The instructions are very easy to follow and there are only about 24 screws in the whole kit, so all you need is a screwdriver and a little patience,” says Mia.
And while Mia may not have been able to fully assemble the Easy Klix in the 30 minutes she claims it can be done, it took her closer to an hour, but she managed to get the job done and the I was happy with the results.
“It's a chic and durable design, yet it's a bargain. I highly recommend this series,” she says.
IKEA, reigning flatpack king, needs to keep an eye on its Polish rival.
We expect it to sell out.
