CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) – Wyoming Sen. John Barrasso was at the Capitol on Tuesday.
He told lawmakers about Wyoming's “key resources” and how blocking energy sales would negatively impact our future.
“Biden, trying to appeal to the youth vote, said, 'We're going to block these sales.'” It has a negative impact on jobs in Wyoming,” Barrasso said.
Barrasso said Biden's “green” administration has declared war on U.S. energy.
According to Reuters, Biden's decision to suspend liquefied natural gas sales to Europe is a direct blow to the U.S. energy sector and the state of Wyoming.
Wyoming could help alleviate Europe's growing energy shortages as it cuts back on Russian oil production.
Barrasso then spoke to a room of 20 Wyoming medical students.
Some have received Hathaway scholarships and funding with support from the Energy Department.
Through the WWAMI program, students complete a practicum in Washington State and ultimately return to the medical field.
“With these amazing medical students, we want to return to Wyoming and provide care and medical care for Wyoming families. And we want to help them make that happen by providing strong, solid, and strong medical students.” We want the economy,” Barrasso said.
Barrasso just returned from a trip to East Africa with 100 members of the Wyoming Air National Guard's 153rd Airlift Wing.
He is scheduled to head to Worland on Wednesday.
