A British man faces arrest after punching a flight attendant on a Thai Airways flight from Bangkok to London Heathrow. According to the report, the man was “moving around violently” in the bathroom. A flight attendant and a passenger intervened to stop him, at which time he struck one of the staff members, the impact of which caused him to fall to the floor.
According to The Independent, the man was arrested after arriving in London. “A 35-year-old man was encountered by the aircraft on arrival and arrested on suspicion of causing serious bodily injury and endangering an aircraft,” London Police said in a statement. “He remains in custody. Another man was also taken to the hospital. His condition was assessed as not life-threatening,” the department added.
A video of the incident was posted on social media and went viral. The video shows several people, including a steward, trying to stop the man. During the commotion, a man throws a punch and the steward falls down. Several passengers were seen assisting airline staff, while others were also captured restraining the man.

A woman who witnessed the incident told Metro: “He was in the bathroom and started screaming. He started banging on the door and the door came off its hinges.”
“An older man in a white T-shirt tried to take him out. A fight broke out and he ended up punching the flight attendant. I think he broke his nose,” she added. .
“Two passengers sat on either side of him and kept pulling him down. We had to put up with his screams. He was very verbally abusive.” She further spoke to the media.
“It was tough. People were changing seats and moving their kids to the back of the plane. [Upon landing] The police came and took him down,” the witness added.
