Kim Shin Rok will be starring alongside Seo Kang Joon and Jin Ki Joo in an upcoming action comedy drama!
On July 1, MBC confirmed that Kim Shin-rok would be joining the cast of the new Friday-Saturday drama “Undercover High School” (working title). Seo Kang-jun and Jin Ki-joo have already been confirmed to appear in the drama.
“Undercover High School” tells the story of Jeong Hae-seong (Seo Kang-jun), an undercover agent for the National Intelligence Service (NIS) who disguises himself as a high school student. While juggling school life with his school life, he bonds with his classmates and becomes entangled with his substitute Korean history teacher and homeroom teacher, Oh Soo-ah (Jin Ki-joo). The drama is written by Lim Young-bin, known for “Bad Prosecutor.”
Kim Shin-rok plays Seo Myung-ju, the representative of the Byungmoon Foundation and the elite private Byungmoon High School, a meticulous and strategic individual driven by an obsession with being the best.
Kim Shin-rok will also star as the nemesis of National Intelligence Service agent Jeong Hae-sung. His rivalry with Seo Kang-joon's character will be exciting and create strong on-screen chemistry, making their interactions highly anticipated.
The executive producer expressed his expectations for Kim Shin-rok's role as Seo Myung-ju, saying, “We are very happy to have Kim Shin-rok as the chairman of the foundation. We expect her future work to surpass her past performances. The rivalry between Hye-sung and Soo-ah is sure to add to the drama's appeal.”
Production of “Undercover High School” is currently in full swing, and the series is scheduled to premiere as a Friday-Saturday drama on MBC in early 2025.
