One man has built his own DIY Cybertruck based on the Ford Ranger.
It looks almost identical to the “real” Cybertruck, but at the same time, there are some differences.
It's like a separate vehicle with its own identity.
And it seems very capable off-road too.

Luke Allan Luquier He posted on Instagram that he built his own Cybertruck using a Ford Ranger as a donor vehicle.
He didn't use a modern Ranger for this build, but rather a 1993 model.
The vehicle retains the same chassis and powertrain as the Ford, and Alan has added a custom-built Cybertruck body on top of the chassis.
A DIY Cybertruck that's also great for off-road driving
The Cybertruck is well-suited for off-roading, but this Ranger-converted Cybertruck seems specifically designed for roads that are off pavement and covered in dirt, dust, and rocks.
One of the reasons this DIY Cybertruck looks so comfortable off-road is its suspension system, which is reminiscent of the “bouncy” suspension used on monster trucks.
The car is also high off the ground and, of course, has chunky off-road tires.
The DIY Cybertruck is everywhere
Since the first Cybertruck was unveiled in 2019, people have been building DIY Cybertrucks.
There was a four or five year gap between the announcement and its actual public release, which only came out in November of last year, and people just wanted it.
And since it wasn't available, they made it.
With a unique design language never before seen, the Cybertruck has quickly become a classic and an icon.
This has led to a long list of DIY Cybertrucks being created, ranging from those built with irony to ones that could (almost) fool Elon Musk himself.
In fact, Elon responded to one of these DIY Cybertrucks.
And apparently he liked it.
