Action-comedy Korean dramas are cool! Their well-balanced storylines make for a satisfying and memorable viewing experience. The seamless interplay of their techniques delivers suspense, humor, and emotion while maintaining a tight plot. Undercover High School.
Written by Lim Young-bin, the 12-episode series is directed by Choi Jung-in. The story follows a major incident that occurs during an operation that leads to the demotion of National Intelligence Service (NIS) star operative Jeong Hae-sung (Seo Kang-jun). Jeong Hae-sung is then assigned to a secret mission at the elite Byeongmun High School, where he infiltrates as a student and soon meets his homeroom teacher Oh Soo-ah (Jin Ki-ju).
Su-a, who is outspoken and affectionate towards her students, begins to notice similarities between Hye-sung and her first love from childhood, a man who had hurt Su-a and filled her with unpleasant memories. Thus develops a complicated relationship between the two, culminating in a tense romance with dramatic suspense, where Hye-sung's goal is only to heighten the excitement.
Undercover High School It looks even cooler when an attractive woman falls in love with a tough guy, and their initial hostility eventually develops into affection. The protagonists' gradual journey of self-discovery, navigating misunderstandings and truths, reveals their strengths and weaknesses, and leads them to realize their romantic feelings for each other. The blend of hostility and liking, ambiguity and closeness in the story allows them to form a deep connection.
Hae-sung is a very interesting and multifaceted character, with both emotional sensitivity and tough strength. He feels like he is well-adapted to the complexities of his own life while also taking part in the intense, action-packed episodes. I can't wait for his (Seo Kang-jun) charisma to explode on screen.
