I hear so much about how Google has changed everything. I see so many emails and articles screaming about how websites will plummet in the rankings if they don't understand the changes to Google's algorithm.
I have read apocalyptic articles before, I was always wrongAt least, that was the case when it came to local businesses. But the advent of AI made me think that maybe there really was something new this time around. After all, Google can't remain the leader forever.
After reading some scary letters, I read a checklist of what website owners should do It will ensure that your rankings are high.

The recommendations are essentially the same as they have been for the past decade.

- Write authoritatively for your customers

To be honest, when I read this list, after all the hype, I thought Why did I get fooled again?
Please don't misunderstand. There is a noticeable change in Google listings. For years, Google has been moving organic search results further down the page, with advertisers and map listings at the top of the page, and now Google is starting to show AI search results at the top of the page as well.
