Billings' sweatiest weekend is back.
With Julia Louis-Dreyfus releasing a film of the same name this weekend (check out Tuesday screenings at Arthouse Cinema and Pub), Julia Louis-Dreyfus has announced the lineup for its 10th annual festival.
Dreyfest is Montana's first DIY festival and will take place August 9-11th, with a very busy weekend packed with music, comedy, poetry and more.
The lineup features many Montana artists, including Hey, ILY, But I'm a Cheerleader, Goochslam, NIAT, Scuba Steve and the Sharks, Family Annihilator, Bull Market, Do Fish Make Noise, and artists from all over the country, including Denver's Destiny Bond, Old Lady from New Jersey, Superbitch from Florida, and Dead Fern from Oakland, California.
Idaho Green, a group that started out in Billings before moving to Brooklyn, will perform as they always do, and the band members have played a vital role in bringing this all together, which is no small feat.

And that's just the beginning: Dreyfest's poster lists 48 bands, with a “and many more” tag at the end, which could mean a variety of things. The 2024 festival will take place at Nova Center for the Performing Arts, Craft Local and North Park Recreation Center.
There will be comedy hosted by Billings native, now Toronto resident, Yaz Baez, a poetry reading hosted by Anna Page, and a noise show hosted by local noise artist Agnar.
And that doesn't include competitive events like Julia Louis-Dreyfus look-alike contests, vegan potlucks and kickball games.
