With just days to go until the release of his second album, Alfie Templeman has shared a final preview of “Just A Dance.”
The track, which features funky legend Nile Rodgers, was recorded as part of sessions in Miami and sparked the creation of Alfie's new album, Radiosoul, which is due for release this Friday 7th June via Chess Club and features his previous singles, Beckham and Eyes Wide Shut.
“Nobody does rhythm guitar better than Nile Rodgers and his music has been a big part of my life,” Alfie said of working with Niall on 'Just A Dance'. “I went to Miami to write the song with the man himself and learned so much about his process and how he writes catchy hooks. Niall is obviously the king of dance so to have worked with him on this song feels like a badge of honour, a stamp of approval to join the list. This song came about because of Bowie. I was talking to him about his album 'Let's Dance' and the title track is on the surface about getting people moving for a while but really it's a song about hiding your feelings. 'Just A Dance' is a lovely short song that's very simple and full of energy. Just enjoy the moment for a while and everything will be alright. It's all about dancing.”
As well as his latest musical works, Alfie also has a number of new headline shows lined up, including a full UK and European tour, as well as dates in the US and Mexico.
