This is something you've probably never seen before: a desk with a hidden hatch to reveal a built-in 45″ OLED gaming monitor, all your peripherals, and even a liquid-cooled gaming PC with the flagship NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card. Check it out!
YouTube channel DIY Perks is the man behind this beautiful creation. It incorporates a 45″ Corsair Xeneon Flex ultrawide bendable OLED gaming monitor, which he stripped down to just the PCB and panel to minimize its size. Peripherals used include a full-size keyboard, gaming mouse, gaming headset, and an external audio interface for the OLED gaming monitor.
On the PC side, it has an Intel Core i9-13900K processor, an ASRock Z790 PG-ITX/TB4 motherboard, and a ZOTAC GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card, all cooled by a water block, as well as dual HDPlex 500W GaN power supplies, one of which is dedicated to the RTX 4090. To round up the specs, the Flashtor 12 Pro NAS is equipped with 12 x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 drives, connected to the motherboard via M.2 ports, and also has a 10GbE M.2 network card.
The DIY YouTuber combined custom hinges, pneumatic struts, and tension springs to create the monitor hatch's hinge mechanism that operates the 45″ OLED inside. He also used other specialized hinges, custom L-brackets, pneumatic struts, tension springs, and sliding rails to incorporate the necessary joints and panels.

The installation process for the 45″ OLED monitor was not easy. Several custom components were created to incorporate the 45″ OLED panel into the desk. The desktop itself is made from aluminium sheet that's just 3mm thick and is supported by an extruded aluminium frame. The aluminium sheet is flexible on its own, but becomes very sturdy once the panel is attached.
