The woman, from North Wexford, will star in TG4's latest six-part series which aims to foster a 'can do' attitude in viewers and offer advice and tips on the 'how' and 'when' when it comes to tackling DIY projects big and small.
Hayley Burke, from Gorey, County Wexford, talks about how important DIY is to her mental health, alongside Bríd Tresá Ní Gaoisín, from Galway, in the fourth episode of TG4's Déan Tú Féin É. The episode airs at 8pm and will be available on TG4 or TG4.ie on Thursday 16 May.
The episode also visits An Lynne in Waterford, where Aodhan Ó Cearaigh tries to preserve memories of her grandparents, particularly her grandfather, the actor Joe McPartland, by repairing a chair that belonged to an arts club in Belfast.
He will be joined by episode presenter Mark Mac Loughran, who will be moving an old cabinet into the house to display all of his and his grandmother's memorabilia.
Mark is a DIY enthusiast and the founder and artistic director of Branar, and in this series he takes a hands-on approach, encouraging six novice DIYers to tackle the backyard projects they've long avoided.
The series has something for everyone, from budding DIYers to seasoned DIY heroes.
The show, produced by TV up-and-comers Glór Media with the guidance and mentorship of Tyrone Productions, will document the progression of these skills through follow-up visits and the unveiling of bigger projects.
