The mother of two explains that you will first need citric acid.
“Citric acid cleans the water and doesn't make it hard, so your laundry comes out super clean,” she says.
Next, she advises mixing this with equal parts bicarbonate of soda, then adding a drop of essence. Essence can be purchased in bulk on Amazon or eBay for around £10.
“If you make a lot, you won't have to go to the store and buy everything every week,” she added.
Once the mixture is complete, transfer it to an airtight storage container and use half a cup for each wash, she explains.
The clip has since gone viral, racking up 110,000 views and some comments from very impressed social media users.
