If you're looking for a way to protect your plants from critters without using pesticides, this trick might be just what you're looking for.
Gardening professionals have revealed how much they spend on keeping insects and animals out of their flower beds.
Dom (@doms_epic_garden) demonstrated the simple hack for his followers in a video that went viral.
The eco-friendly Instagrammer explained that she is making her own DIY critter cage.
He noted that the price of home-made solutions is “a fraction of the price” of store-bought alternatives.
“Keep your little plants safe with this hack,” said Dom.

Gardening experts recommended placing a wire bin over the plants to prevent pests from eating them.
“Wire waste baskets can be purchased for as little as $2 to $3, compared to garden-specific waste baskets that cost $8 to $10 or more,” he advised.
The chicken wire plant protectors are available in a pack of six from Amazon for $90.
Wire waste baskets can be purchased from Dollar Tree for just $1.25.
In addition to saving costs, the basket requires no cable ties for assembly or installation.
Dom placed two wire bins above the plants in the flower bed to show how easily this trick works.
The experts at Epic Gardening recommended adding critter cages to your flower beds during the spring.
“Greenhouses and animal cages are most effective when used in the spring after transplanting or when the crop is at its weakest,” they explained.
Experts pointed out that this device can also protect plants from bad weather.
Even in strong winds or late snowfall, the cage will cover the crop.
Instagram users shared their thoughts on the recommendation in the comments section.
