Political influence in the classroom has become outrageous. This will only lead to harmful policies that limit students' opportunities to receive the education they deserve.
Educating students about global and social issues is critical to helping them become knowledgeable adults.
This is not a question of whether the content teachers use in the classroom is “programming” students, but rather a question of strong political influence in the education system.
It baffles me that any form of education that does not attempt to become a historical revisionist conservative fantasy is immediately attacked by the Florida government and uses the excuse of “indoctrination” as a scapegoat.
It's funny that Mr. DeSantis calls Florida an “educational state.” Because he is a man who was willing to desecrate the bipartisan sanctity of education in order to gain “more respect” from his own party.
This is evident from the moment he calls the current education system “woke.” This is a deceptive buzzword used by right-wing politicians to justify complaining about school teaching that doesn't align with their ideals.
Mr. DeSantis called Florida an “educational state” not because its students receive a diverse education, but because it is openly defined. his Educational version.
To make matters worse, teachers are facing intense backlash from these political changes.
With their salaries cut, they are unable to pay their expenses and buy necessities such as food, rent, and water.
DEI was shut down because DeSantis felt these programs were the biggest promoters of the “woke politics” he wanted to conquer.
Additionally, there are policies such as book bans and “don't call me gay” bills that restrict students' and teachers' freedom of expression about sexuality and gender, and the ability to learn from writers and educators from diverse backgrounds.
The problem of teachers being neglected both within and outside of their profession has been pointed out for many years, but has not been adequately addressed.
Political influences are having a negative impact on our education system. So why do FIU students bother pursuing this important career if their subject content is limited and they are ridiculed by others who don't understand what a profound teacher is? Is it?
This blatant fear-mongering is exactly what right-wing politicians want.
They want people to leave academia. Because we know that access to nonpartisan education, especially classes that inform students about some of the backward-looking tactics used by conservative politicians, leads to fewer votes and fewer chances to become president. .
Knowledge is power, and conservative politicians are willing to destroy delicate school systems to get what they want.
A decent education is one of the most fundamental aspects of our lives. We must continue to fight for teachers to protect our future as intelligent, knowledgeable adults.
