Calvin C. Cupidore Jr. of Farmington Hills has been appointed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer to the Michigan Education Trust Board. Cupidore is a former education consultant who previously served as chief financial officer for the Michigan Department of Education and assistant superintendent of business for the Pontiac City School District.
Cupidore currently serves on the board of the Michigan Certified Development Corporation. He previously served on the Franklin Village Planning Board.
Cupidor earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Hunter College and a master's degree in business administration and a doctorate in education from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Mr. Cupidor will represent the candidate for Speaker of the House of Representatives for a term running from May 9, 2026 to December 31, 2026. Mr. Cupidor replaces Mr. Ronald Weiser, whose term has expired.
