Gary Neville says Manchester United star Rasmus Hojland could never be considered a 'great striker', as Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher asked: 'What does he do?' I don't think it will.
Wylund, who joined Old Trafford from Atalanta for £72 million in the summer, enjoyed the Premier League's purple patch at the turn of the year, scoring seven goals in six Premier League games, but his only other goal was in the net. It was only one game.
He was as bad as Casemiro against Crystal Palace. And according to reports on Monday, some of his Red Devils teammates are “reluctant to pass the ball to him” because they are “unconvinced” of his abilities.
“I wish he had learned.”
Neville believes he has what it takes to be United's Ollie Watkins, but does not believe he can become one of the Premier League's great players.
Neville told Sky Sports: I saw Ollie Watkins before. I don't think he will become Haaland or Aguero, who are two of the greatest strikers in Premier League history.
“But he can be Ollie Watkins. When you look at a guy like that, you think he can get 20 goals.
“I wish he had been the second striker this season. I wish he had learned. I interviewed Erik ten Hag last week. He mentioned Harry Kane. I think if you were learning from him or playing alongside Kane, you would see a completely different player.
“Secondly, he's 21 years old. He's in his first season in the Premier League and is a bit dirty at work, but he reminds me a bit of Darwin Nunez. He reminds me a bit of Nicholas Jackson. .

“If you look at them, they are projects. Manchester United, the only striker at the moment. I haven't been there for a year.
“If you look at Nunez and Hoylund, what's really interesting to me is that his shot conversion is 22% better, so he's actually better than Jackson and Nunez when he actually gets a chance. I'm saying that.
“You might think so, but I think that's something to really work on. He's last in expected goals, he's only expected to score 7.4 goals.
“If you look at Nunez and Jackson, the service to him is poor, Jackson, they're 16.3 and 17, double,” he said.

'what does he do? '
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher hit back at Neville's comments, questioning whether United would be happy that Wylund was not one of the best players in the Premier League, saying:
“Will it be enough for Manchester United? I mean, I feel a little bit sorry for Holland, but you look at it and you think, oh my gosh, what is his trick? What kind of job does he have?
“I know he’s young and I actually think he probably could have been brought in a few years earlier.”
Neville shifted the blame for the lack of goals onto his fellow forwards, giving Hojland more freedom.
“Honestly, this is the most difficult implementation,” Neville added. “It's about changing the squad, bringing a young striker into a struggling team. There's a lot of talk about Manchester about changes in defense, but there have been just as many changes in attack.
“This kid doesn't know when the ball is going to go into the box. is affecting.”
