One homeowner leveled up the look of her home with a DIY project.
Social media users and neighbors alike have praised the garden addition.
In a post on Reddit, user Th1sisjnn showed off an impressive transformation of her garden.
They explained that they had “quite drastically changed” the look of their home.
The homeowner showed fellow Reddit users what the front of the house looked like before starting the DIY project.

Additional information about the deck was provided in the comments section.
“Perfect for weekend morning coffee or evening cocktails,” they write.
“The sun is mostly blocked out around 4:30 p.m., providing the cover needed by the arborvitae to ensure privacy from neighbors.”
But some neighbors passed by and praised the project.
“This neighborhood has a lot of foot traffic and people are always stopping and commenting how much they love this location,” the homeowner explained.
”[We] I've had several cars brake in front of it and yell, “I love the deck.”
“I've had a few people ask me who did it and then ask if they would hire me.”
The impressive structure was also reflected in real estate values.
“The value of our home has almost doubled since we bought it five years ago,” the poster revealed.
They purchased the 672-square-foot property with two bedrooms and one bathroom in 2018.
Built in 1937, the couple are the second owners of the home, which they describe as “perfect.”
The door is not placed in the center of the house, and the railing is sold in sections that can be divided by 4 feet.

The couple designed the deck for the winter, although they explained that they don't use the deck often during the peak heat of the day during the summer.
”[We] live in wisconsin [so the deck] This causes snow to accumulate,” they wrote.
They mentioned one issue with the house and deck, which some Reddit users also spotted.
“The door is not placed in the center of the house and the railing is sold in sections that are divisible by 4 feet,” the homeowner explained.
“The deck is 28 feet wide, so we made installation easier by creating two 12-foot sections on each side of the stairs, making the stairs 4 feet wide.”
They explained, “We could have placed it in the center of the door, but that would have cost more money and effort.”
The homeowners added that the City Post rail system they were using did not have corner posts available at the time of construction.
Reddit users shared their thoughts on the DIY deck in the comments section.
One reader wrote, “It's so nice. I love the simple design of this home. The deck really changes the look. I love that door too. It makes everything pop.”
Another commented: “Wow, functional and beautiful lifted from the 70s.”
“The simple look is nice. It will be easy to maintain over the long term,” commented a third party.
