2) A major change in the pageant world: Miss Teen USA resigns days after Miss USA
Miss Teen USA Umasofia Srivastava returned her crown just days after Miss USA. Miss USA Noelia Voigt, who was crowned in September, was the first to resign, citing her mental health issues.
KTAL spoke to Lily Gale, one of the local pageant queens who holds the title of “Miss Louisiana Port City.” Gail has made it part of her personal mission to bring mental health awareness and resources to schools across the state.
“I actually attempted suicide three times and thankfully none of them worked, otherwise I wouldn't be here right now,” said the actress, who will be competing in Miss Louisiana this summer. said Gail.
