RACINE COUNTY, Wis. — President Biden will visit Racine today in his fourth visit to Wisconsin this year.
He is visiting the same Foxconn investment site that the Trump administration visited six years ago.
During his visit, the president is expected to announce a $3.3 billion investment by Microsoft to build a new artificial intelligence data center in Mount Pleasant.
The data center was approved in 2023.
The data center is projected to create 2,300 union construction jobs and 2,000 full-time jobs over the long term, according to a White House press release.
The data center will be built on the same land where Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Foxconn invested $10 billion six years ago.
Microsoft plans to provide training opportunities to thousands of additional Wisconsin residents, according to a press release.
TMJ4 will stream Biden's announcement and provide live coverage.
