As we've seen several times during the 2024 transfer portal season, once the national media started making projections for Indiana, things turned around for the Hoosiers.
On Sunday evening, 247Sports national analyst Travis Branham predicted Bellarmine center Langdon Hatton would end up at IU. Branham accurately called the hires of Miles Rice, Kanaan Carlisle, and Omar Baro.
Indiana has two open scholarships on its 2024-2025 roster, and the Georgetown, Indiana product would clearly fill a need.
The 6-foot-10, 240-pound Hatton started all 31 games for Bellarmine in the 2023-24 season. In the biggest role of his career, he averaged 10.5 points and 7.1 rebounds in 27.8 minutes per game. Hatton shot 48 percent from the field, including 33.3 percent (15 of 45). He added 24 blocks on the season.
The North Harrison HS product's turnover rate in 2023-24 was just 10.4%, good for 187th in the nation. He also ranked in the top 500 in the nation in defensive rebound rate (19.5%, 252nd), block rate (3.2%, 355th), fouls per 40 minutes (2.3, 444th), and offensive rebounds. (7.6%, No.463).
Hutton has one year of eligibility remaining.
