In an emotional wedding, jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) performed wedding ceremonies for the daughter of a slain soldier in Alwar, Rajasthan. The wedding photos were shared on an Instagram page named Indian Military Updates.
The caption of the post identified the bride as Sarika Meena, daughter of late CRPF constable Rakesh Kumar Meena. The ceremony was held at the late Meena's residence in Dubi village.
Meena belonged to the 168th Battalion and was martyred in a battle against Naxals in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh in 2010. The viral photo shows uniformed CRPF johns walking towards the stage carrying bridal veils.
Sharing the photo, the Instagram handle wrote: “CRPF personnel attended the wedding ceremony of Sarika Meena, daughter of Shaheed CRPF constable Rakesh Kumar Meena, in Dubi village, Alwar district, Rajasthan. A similar incident occurred in December 2021.
