Video of a clash between pro-Palestinian protesters and police at the University of Virginia has taken the internet by storm. The incident occurred on May 3, and chaos spread, with police spraying tear gas at demonstrators.
The video, which is currently going viral, shows protesters at the university shoving police while shouting “shame on you.” As tensions escalated, police resorted to using tear gas. The protests turned violent after the school did not agree to the demonstrators' demands.

“Demonstrators turned the demonstration into an encampment after the school refused to comply with all of the demonstrators’ demands, including demands that the school sever academic ties with Israeli educational institutions. “We have refused many of their requests,” Lagu added.

The video racked up 2.5 million views on the platform, with users calling for the protesters to be prosecuted. Reacting to the video, one user wrote, “These pro-Palestinian extremists need to be jailed and prosecuted. Their acts of violence and refusal to obey the police are intolerable. There is no law and order here. Let's start acting as one.”
