Protests in solidarity with Palestinians under Israeli siege of Gaza have spread to university and college campuses in the United States and around the world.
Clashes and standoffs with police at Columbia University, Portland State University and UCLA have garnered global attention, but protests have also taken place on campuses in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Protesters' demands vary from university to university, but most want universities to divest from companies that support Israel and the war in Gaza.
Here we introduce some of the pro-Palestinian campus protests taking place around the world.
Australia: Pro-Palestinian protest camps have been set up in at least seven schools across the country, including the University of Queensland and the University of Sydney.
England: Pro-Palestinian protests have been taking place at universities across the country since the early days of Israel's war in Gaza, with some universities setting up encampments. Students in British cities such as Newcastle, Leeds, Bristol and Warwick set up tents outside university buildings.
France: In Paris, pro-Palestinian protests erupted at the Polytechnic Institute and Sorbonne University, one of France's most highly rated universities.
India: A protest was held at New Delhi's prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University in solidarity with students protesting at Columbia University.
Canada: Protests against Israel's war in Gaza have swept campuses across the country, including McGill University, the University of Toronto, and the University of British Columbia.
Lebanon: Hundreds of students gathered on the Lebanese campus, waving Palestinian flags and demanding the university boycott companies doing business in Israel.
