Wait, why doesn't my LinkedIn have AI?
Although LinkedIn's AI integrations are fairly widespread across the site, there are pitfalls. That means it's only for premium users. This means that free users don't have to do anything if they want to skip AI on LinkedIn. Premium ads aren't exactly new to LinkedIn, although you'll occasionally see ads recommending purchasing Premium to access certain AI features.
If you pay a premium price, AI integration is a little harder to ignore. LinkedIn doesn't want you to turn off these paid features because they consider it part of your subscription.
LinkedIn currently uses AI on its job pages, recruiter tools, under posts, and in most text boxes. You can turn off some, but not all, of these. To complicate matters further, the AI features you have access to vary depending on your premium level.
Where does LinkedIn use AI?
There are four areas where LinkedIn's AI integration is most prevalent. The first one is about job information.

In the premium career tier, where I signed up for a free trial while writing this article, LinkedIn's AI chatbot prompts will now appear below the job description on job listings. This includes questions such as “Am I right for this job?” “How can I get the best position for the job?” The answers to these are usually something like your job profile or job description, but “Tell me more.” [employer]” is a rough summary of the company’s LinkedIn page.

The second is LinkedIn Recruiter, which users can do here. AI-assisted candidate search, help filling out project fields, and AI-assisted message sending. These features require an enterprise-level LinkedIn Recruiter subscription, so we couldn't test them in this article. Please note that the Recruiter Lite tier of LinkedIn Premium does not have access to these tools.

Premium users can find AI in most of the text boxes on LinkedIn as well as their profiles. Here, LinkedIn offers to help you draft a message, post, profile headline, or page. Strange thing: Sales Navigator Core and Recruiter Lite packages don't have access to AI message drafts, despite their higher cost compared to Career and Business tiers.

Perhaps the most prominent of LinkedIn's AI features is its “AI Points for Feed Posts.” In some cases, these icons will appear next to a glowing icon when you're browsing your feed, suggesting questions related to the post. Clicking on them will open LinkedIn's AI chatbot and ask you a question.
How to turn off LinkedIn AI
The bad news is that most of LinkedIn's AI features can't be turned off, so it's best to only sign up for the premium tier that has the features you need. All other users can easily ignore LinkedIn's AI-assisted messages, even if they can't completely disable them.
