The Player is a hit Korean action crime drama that aired in 2018 and is making its long-awaited return after six years. Song Seung Heon will continue to play the lead role from season 1.
The show announced its release month just a few days ago, and today confirmed its premiere date along with new stills.

Song Seung-heon will return to action roles in season 2 of The Player as Kang Ha-ri, a con artist with quick skills and a golden tongue.
“The Player 2: Master of Swindlers” will be a direct sequel to OCN’s “The Player” where con artists, hackers, fighters, and drivers come together to take down the rich and corrupt. The hit action crime series returns for the first time in six years.
The first look of “The Player 2: Master of Swindlers'' has been released, and the returns of Tae Won Suk and Lee Si Eon have also been confirmed. Along with this season's new lead actresses Oh Yeon Seo and Jang Gyu Ri.
The first look at The Player 2: Masters of Swindlers begins with Song Seung-heon as Kang Ha-ri, the mastermind behind all the operations. Kang Ha-ri, charming as always, is back to take down those who take advantage of others.
Korean Odyssey's Oh Yeon-seo appears as the stylish Jung Soo-min, a mysterious woman with incredible strategy and charisma. She is the person who brings old players like Kang Ha-ri back into the game.
Lee Si Eon also returns from the iconic The Players as hacker Lim Byung Min. There is no network that Tae Won-seok, who returns as the team's fighter Do Jin-woon, cannot penetrate.
Meanwhile, Jang Gyu-ri will be joining the team as the team's driver, Cha Jae-yi. She may seem ferocious and ruthless at first glance, but there's more to her than meets the eye.
When will “The Player 2” be broadcast?
“The Player 2: Master of Swindlers” will premiere on Monday, June 3, 2024 at 8:50 PM KST (5:20 PM IST) on tvN. This action-crime thriller will replace Byun Woo-seok and Kim Hye-yoon's “Lovely Runner.''
