The public can listen to this process and give feedback. Board meetings are open to the public and begin at 6:30 p.m. in the school district's central office board room, 150 Williams Road, Statesboro. Guests may enter through Entrance A. Comments may also be submitted in writing to the Board. here or boe@bullochschools.org.
School district departments began developing a separate budget in January 2024 and submitted it to the school district's finance department in February. In March, the district's chief financial officer created a school funding model based on the number of full-time equivalent students (FTE) for each school and prepared each department for April and May budget discussions with the board. I met with the people in charge.
Bullock County Schools' overall budget is comprised of five funds: the General Fund, Special Revenue Fund, School Nutrition Fund, Capital Projects Fund, and Debt Service Fund.
