A video of Air India ground staff transferring luggage from the aircraft to a baggage cart is going viral on the internet for all the wrong reasons. The video, shared by Ishwar Dwivedi on Instagram, shows staff throwing a passenger's musical instrument and other passengers' luggage into a luggage cart.
The text of the video shared by Dwivedi reads, “This is how Air India handles expensive instruments. Please share this video with your friends and question Air India authorities.” While sharing, she wrote, “@airindia @ratantata Is this how you handle fragile things??”

The video was shared on April 20, garnering over 12 million views and countless reactions, polarizing the platform. Some social media users blamed the airlines, while others argued that all airlines were lax in managing passengers' baggage. Reacting to the video, one user wrote: “This is not unique to Air India. Also, baggage carriers are people who lift luggage all day long.”
Another user opined that if a package had a “handle with care” sticker on it, ground staff would throw the package harder, and said that's how the employee's mind works. “They are throwing bags on purpose to damage them,” a third user wrote.
Last month, Marathi actor Siddharth Jadhav took to social media to express his displeasure after finding his luggage damaged during an IndiGo flight from Mumbai to Goa. In the video, the actor says in Marathi, “I have traveled from Mumbai to Goa on Indigo Airlines. Look at how carefully the airline handled my luggage. Only the handle part of the bag is in condition. I really appreciate the care the airline showed in handling my luggage. I have nothing more to add. Thank you for taking such good care of my belongings.
