Camp Invention, a nationally recognized nonprofit summer enrichment program, will be coming to the Ruth Patrick Science Education Center the week of June 10-14.
A program of the National Inventors Hall of FameĀ® in partnership with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Camp Invention taps children's natural curiosity and inspires them to be creative and problem-solve in kindergarten through 6th grade. . Camp Invention promotes her STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) learning through hands-on activities. Develop confidence, leadership, perseverance and resourcefulness. and encourage entrepreneurship.
Each year, the program features new curriculum inspired by some of the nation's most world-changing inventors: National Inventors Hall of Fame inductees. This year's Illuminate program will inspire children to gain confidence in their ideas and explore innovation through hands-on activities such as:
ā¢ Let's Glow: Creativity shines as campers uncover the science of light through glowing inventions and glowing animals.
ā¢ Prototyping Studio: Kids star as contestants on a game show, molding, molding, and turning ideas into amazing inventions.
ā¢ In-game: Team up to tackle athletics, design, business, and invention while campers create their own light-up game board.
ā¢ Operation: Hydrodrop: Children embark on a global operation to help solve water problems around the world.

All local Camp Invention programs are facilitated and taught by qualified educators who reside and teach in the community. Camp Invention serves 122,000 students each year and partners with more than 2,500 schools and districts across the country.
