Since we recently bought a house, we've been doing quite a bit of DIY projects. In the past few weeks, I've painted the kitchen cabinets, started installing new baseboards, and even replaced some light fixtures here and there. Additionally, after removing a few ugly bushes, I spend quite a bit of time cleaning the garden. I'm sure more projects are in the works as spring cleaning continues.
At the beginning of 2024, USA Today reported that due to rising costs, many homeowners are choosing DIY options when it comes to home renovations. Usually it's best to hire a professional, but if you're short on money, just watch a quick YouTube video to get you started. menard may be the only option. One website recently broke down its most popular DIY projects by state, and Indiana's one is no surprise. But before we look at specific items on many Hoosiers' honey-do lists, I think there are a few states that should be mentioned as honorable mentions.
According to Craft Jack, Montana residents often take on DIY wallpapering projects. But instead of just putting up regular wallpaper, they invest time and money into synthetic leather wallpaper. Residents of Wyoming and Rhode Island are doing the same. To be honest, I didn't even know that people still had wallpaper in their homes, let alone wallpaper that looked like cowhide. Some people may be watching a little too much yellowstone.
The most popular DIY project among Hoosiers is one that's a little more common, and one that's also on my own to-do list. According to Craft Jack, Indiana's favorite DIY project is the fire pit, which is also the biggest home improvement trend in Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, and several other states. Luckily, I've built a fire pit or two in my life, so this is nothing new. However, if you just need a place to hang out with friends, grill hot dogs, or toast s'mores, a simple metal ring will suffice.

On rare occasions, an announcement may be made in-store using a PIN number that only employees can understand. Some of them are pretty scary and you'll want to leave the store as soon as you hear them.
