-Welcome to this week's RAW Talk. As a note, I'm back on track with my 1989 Retro review and the next entry will be up in the next few days. WWE Rivals returns this Sunday. It's Hogan vs. Savage, so I can't wait! Let's just do it!
-Megan Morant welcomed us to the show and said tonight's RAW was all about the championship. We start with Rhea Ripley relinquishing her Women's World Title due to her injury. Liv Morgan takes credit for her and comes out to provoke her girlfriend Rhea. Leah could not be caught, but she headbutted the guard.
-Now, we head to the studio where Megan Morant and Sam Roberts join us. They discuss how Rhea was stripped of the title and how the roster smells blood now that a new champion needs to be crowned.
-Go to video of HHH debuting the new World Tag Team Titles as the Penny Titles are retired for good. The truth here was great and as stated in X, he is a national treasure and must be protected at all costs.
-Go to video where DIY wins a triple threat match against The Creed and The New Day to become number one contenders for the World Tag Team Championship.
– Jackie Redmond is behind the scenes at DIY and says they are friends with Awesome Truth. Truth appears and demands a photo with “HHH” pointing to him. This person is amazing! Gargano said Truth doesn't think there will be a tag team match next week. Then he told us his two words. “New product,” he said, showing off his new DIY DX-inspired shirt.
-Candice/Indy and Kreese/Piper still appear!
-WWE Draft Commercial! I think Gunther will move to SmackDown to cut off Cody's neck tattoo. I mean, I think he could potentially stay on RAW, but that seems to be on hold for Judgment Day.
-Cut to the video where Indi Hartwell finally accepts her partner's cheat-to-win attitude and it pays off, defeating Maxine and Ivy.
– Kathy Kelly is backstage with Candace and Indy, and Kathy accuses them of being imposters. Indy says that losing to Maxine was one of the most embarrassing moments of her career and she needed to do what she had to do to win. Candace doesn't need to explain, she says. They are winners and are back on a winning streak.
-Go to the video when Sheamus returns and has a fun HOSS FIGHT with Ivar. Thick big men slam their meat! I'm enjoying Ivar's dominance and hope to see more of him in the future. If Sheamus wins, I will be competing against Sheamus/Sami for the IC Title at some point.
-Go to the video when Jey Uso and Finn Balor had a good match. Jay strengthens for his world title match against Damian Priest and emerges victorious. Speaking of The Champ, he glares at Jay and does a Judgment Day attack. The priest didn't seem thrilled about it. Jay is able to resist and runs off through the crowd. It would make sense for Judgment Day to start cracking even without Rhea.
– This Friday is SmackDown: AJ Styles vs. LA Knight, and the winner will face Cody Rhodes at Backlash: France!
-Next up is Chelsea and Piper!
-This Friday's SmackDown is Pittsburgh. I'm still thinking about whether or not to go.
-Go to the video when Piper and Chelsea beat Carter and Chance. Cool, well-timed finish as Piper does the heavy lifting and Chelsea gets the pin.
-Jackie is backstage with Piper and Chelsea. Chelsea pointed out that Sir Nicholas the Nasty and Peahead Pierce were leading the plot against them, but things changed tonight with P's return. Chelsea tells everyone to ride the Chell Pip Train and go straight to the top. Truly choo choo! We should all choose Chel Pip!
-The video shows Sami making a great entrance as he sings his way through the crowd. The camera work in this shot was phenomenal as this new production direction nails it down. McAfee points out that the Habs are bad at playing hockey. Yeah, Habs, thank you for ruining the Penguins tonight. That being said, the Habs play Detroit again tomorrow, so go.
-Anyway, Sami defeated Chad Gable in front of a heated crowd. Sami hugs his family, but Gable throws Sami’s head off with a suplex. This is what we need! Chad Gable, a heel, douche wrestling machine, should be fun.
– The Bump on Wednesday: Guest appearances by A-Town Down Under and Big E.
-Megan wraps things up and that's it for this week! Thanks for reading!
