Big news keeps coming for Dua Lipa! Just weeks after announcing her new album and confirming she'll be headlining this year's Glastonbury Festival, Dua is back with yet another new song to keep us going through the weekend. Ta.
Following his previous singles “Houdini” and “Training Season,” Dua has now shared another groove-filled offering, “Illusion.” About this song she says: “Caroline's first song was 'Illusion.'” [Ailin]Danny [L Harle]Tobias [Jesso Jr]Kevin [Parker] I worked with and it really broke records. It's about knowing what you're getting yourself into and staying there forever. It's a joke, it's fun to play against someone at their own game. Because in the end you won't fall into any illusions. ”
In true Dua style, there's also an impressive video directed by Tanu Muino. Filmed in Barcelona with high divers and synchronized swimmers, if this clip isn't enough to get you searching on Skyscanner this afternoon, we don't know what is. Plus, if you think the pool at Pisina Municipal Montjuic looks familiar, it probably is. It's the same one that appeared in Kylie's iconic “Slow” video.
The track appears on Dua's third album, Radical Optimism, scheduled for release on May 3rd. This work follows Dua's 2020 work 'Future Nostalgia', which broke records and defeated the coronavirus.
