Several social media users praised Lt Col Avnish Vajpayee's latest feat.
Social media users paid tribute to Lt. Col. Avnish Vajpayee's indomitable spirit after he skydived from 14,000 feet on Tuesday after losing a limb during a surgery. Additional Public Relations Directorate (ADG PI) took note of X and shared the news along with a series of photos of Vajpayee with a prosthetic leg.
ADG PI shared the photo and wrote, “#Proud Lt. Col. Avnish Vajpayee, a brave warrior and combat casualty who lost a limb during an operation, has taken on the ultimate challenge. He wears a prosthetic leg and flies to an altitude of 14,000. Skydived from ft. This outstanding achievement at #BathindaAir Force Base is a testament to the power of the human spirit, resilience and determination. #IndiaArmy #ArmyAdventureWing.”

According to reports, Lieutenant Colonel Avnish Vajpayee lost a limb in a grenade explosion during field firing in Punjab in 2007.
Reacting to the post, several social media users praised Lt Col Vajpayee's achievements. A user commented: “Well done buddy…God give me more power.” Another user wrote: “Kudos to our brave warriors.”
“Indian soldiers never admit defeat. Congratulations Lt. Col. Avnish Vajpayee. You are an inspiration. Jai Hind,” a third user commented. “(B)Adi, that is an amazing feat. After conquering a major running event, you have added another feather to your cap. I am honored to have run the 42km full marathon in Mumbai with you in 2015. Memorable. Your energy and enthusiasm is so contagious. The trail goes all the way to skysurfing. Avnish BAAJ…Godspeed,” another user wrote.
In 2019, Kargil War veteran Major Singh skydived with a prosthetic leg. According to reports, Major Singh had lost his right leg during the Kargil war.
