John A. List, Distinguished Service Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago, will present the Economics Department's 2024 McKay Lecture. He has published several best-selling books, including 2022's “High Voltage.” His research has been published in over 200 journals and published in textbooks. He was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2011 and a Fellow of the Econometric Society in 2015. His research uses field experiments to provide practical insights on education, discrimination, gender and inclusion, social preferences, corporate social responsibility, social responsibility, and more. Environmental economics, private provision of public goods. The event is open to the public.

Ms. McQuaid is a legal analyst for NBC News and her MSNBC, and a professor at Michigan State Law. She served as the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan from 2010 to 2017.
