The graduate school announced it is now accepting applications for a new master's degree program in applied psychology data analysis. The program will be taught in the Department of Psychology, begin in fall 2025, and include an accelerated degree option for Marquette University undergraduates.
Applications for this program will open on May 1st.
The purpose of applied psychology data analysis is to combine analytical skills with a deep understanding of human behavior to bring about meaningful change in the world.
“We are excited to offer a new graduate program in applied psychology data analysis,” said Dr. Doug Woods, dean of the graduate school. “This unique master's degree program leverages the use of big data and advanced statistical techniques to provide graduates with specialization in applying their psychology degree to jobs in a wide range of fields including healthcare, business, education, and social media. It gives you an advantage.”
This program teaches you how to conduct, evaluate, and communicate high-quality research using datasets that help organizations better understand the challenges they face, address important issues, and drive positive social change. teach students. Students engage in interdisciplinary coursework between the Department of Psychology and the Department of Computer Science to earn a certification in data science. After the program ends. This program provides hands-on experience that allows students to work with community organizations and use data to apply psychological principles to real-world problems. Community placement occurs during the student's final year of the program.
Undergraduate students at Marquette can enter the Applied Psychology Data Analytics Accelerated Degree Program during their third year and earn their bachelor's and master's degrees in as little as five years.
