A little-known beauty secret helped one woman grow enviable long, voluminous hair.
She mixed three natural ingredients to create a homemade treatment that stimulates hair growth.
Naomi (@naomiifelton) has around 37,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares self-care tips.
The beauty guru went viral on social media apps after revealing how a DIY treatment helped her grow her hair.
She described it as her “best kept” secret as she began preparing it using fresh rosemary, mint and clove sprigs.
Walmart sells fresh rosemary and mint for $2 each, and whole cloves can be found in stores for $3.

She added the three ingredients to a pot filled with boiling water.
Continue to simmer on medium heat for 5-10 minutes until the mixture turns dark brown.
Naomi waited 25 minutes to begin straining the liquid, then transferred it to a bottle that was easy to apply to her hair.
A nearly identical bottle sells for $7.20 at Amazon's Dioche store.

She divided her hair into sections and began applying a “generous” amount of the mixture from the tips to the roots.
After soaking in the mixture, she twisted each section and covered her hair with a shower cap and a satin scarf.
Naomi recommended leaving the treatment overnight and then washing it off.
“I promise this is super easy,” she said. “Apply once or twice a week and monitor hair growth.”
The video has been viewed more than 1 million times and liked by 56,000 people.
“Rosemary has done wonders for my hair. I'll try adding some cloves,” one person commented.
“I used this after I got my hair cut and my hair grew back instantly,” said another.

Scientific research and personal experience suggest that rosemary oil may prevent hair loss and promote hair growth.
Studies have shown that this essential oil is as effective as minoxidil for hair loss treatment.
However, according to VeryWell Health, if you mix fresh rosemary leaves and water at home, the results will be “different.”
More research is also needed before peppermint can be called a hair growth treatment.
