A gunman suspected of fatally shooting three people in Pennsylvania and fleeing to New Jersey has barricaded himself in a Trenton home with hostages, officials said.
The gunman, Andre Gordon, 26, is accused of shooting three people at two locations in Levittown, Pennsylvania. Police said the man then carjacked his driver at gunpoint and fled from there to New Jersey. “tracked to his house” in Trenton.
Pennsylvania authorities said Trenton Police SWAT team members were at the scene.
Trenton police did not respond to requests for comment.
The incident began around 8:52 a.m. when officers responded to a residence on Viewpoint Lane in Levittown after receiving a report of a shooting in Falls Township, Pennsylvania, police said in a news release.
Authorities say Gordon drove a stolen car and shot and killed two people living at the residence.
After the incident, Gordon allegedly shot and killed another person at a home on Edgewood Lane in Levittown and fled the scene, police said.
They allegedly carjacked a driver at gunpoint around 9:13 a.m. in the parking lot of a Dollar General store in Morrisville. The driver was not injured, authorities said.
Police believe Gordon knew three people had been shot.

The vehicle was found unoccupied in Trenton around 11:38 a.m., according to the Bucks County, Pennsylvania, District Attorney's Office.
The District Attorney's Office announced that at around 12:22 p.m., they received information that Gordon had barricaded himself inside a residence in Trenton with hostages.
The District Attorney's Office said it is “referring to the Trenton Police Department for any information regarding that aspect of this investigation.”
Pennsylvania State Police previously said Gordon was a homeless man with ties to Trenton. The suspect was in possession of an assault rifle, which he allegedly used in the shooting. Police said he may have additional weapons and warned he was “extremely dangerous”.
The shooting led to a shelter in place in Falls Township. Police told residents to lock their doors and move to a safe location away from windows. The shelter-in-place order was lifted Saturday afternoon.
The Bucks County St. Patrick's Day parade scheduled for Saturday morning has been canceled and the Pennsbury School District has postponed activities.
In nearby Middletown Township, residents were told not to travel to Falls Township. Middletown County Police later said they had “received information that everyone was safe.”
U.S. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick said he is in contact with law enforcement in the search for the suspect.
Gov. Josh Shapiro said he was briefed on the incident and asked state police to assist local law enforcement.
Levittown is located in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, approximately 42 miles from the city.
