A home decor fan who fell in love with a $4,000 dresser found a way to create a similar look, not the price.
But her DIY version cost a fraction of its more expensive competitors.
She started with a basic IKEA lookalike and transformed it into something that looked more upscale.
The creative woman said it was easy and her fans think it's great.
It's a win-win for Tahira (@theaestheticsideofhomes).
She got the furniture of her dreams and had the opportunity to show off her DIY skills.

Her creativity is at the heart of her TikTok activity, where she has 349,000 followers.
She shares her love for “home decor, DIY, organization, and cleaning tips” on her platform.
In this post, she obsesses over cabinets that are way beyond her budget.
“I fell in love with this dresser at first sight, but I wasn't prepared to pay nearly $4,000 for it,” she said.
So instead of complaining that she couldn't get it, she found a much cheaper way to make it herself.
“I bought this dresser from IKEA for about $400 and these wooden dowels from the hardware store. It's so easy,” she said.
However, achieving the same look was very time consuming, taking Tahira approximately 14 hours.
There was a lot of measuring, cutting, gluing, staining, and securing the wooden dowels in place.
“It was very easy to do, but it was a pain.”
In addition to the Ikea cabinets, she spent another $83 on wood and $16 on hardware.
The finished look was very similar to the $4,000 product. All her hard work paid off.
“I shopped around the house and styled the piece, and here it is in all its glory for less than $500.
“DIY an expensive dresser on a budget. I love it and am so happy with the result,” she said.
Commenters were into this too.
“Oh this is on another level. So beautiful,” said one.
“You’re doing a great job,” said another.
A third person thought, “Wow, that's really professional work.''
