Coweta County Schools 2024 Teacher of the Year Award
Each of the 33 schools in the Coweta County School System has named a 2024 Teacher of the Year.
They are selected by fellow certified teachers at each school for exemplary teaching and serve as ambassadors for the profession. This year's honorees represent teachers from kindergarten through grade 12 who work in a wide range of education areas, including English/language arts, math, music, science, social studies, career education, special education, coaching, and media. .

They will be recognized at the Coweta County Teacher of the Year program on May 1 at the Nixon Center for Performing and Visual Arts. The Coweta County Board of Education, along with the Newnan Pilot Club, presents this program annually. The 2024 Coweta County Teacher of the Year will be announced at that program.
Finalists for County Teacher of the Year are based on quality of teaching, professional development, teaching philosophy and methods, community involvement, contributions to education, and ability to inspire students of all backgrounds. Preschool students in Georgia can get college funding
Georgia families with preschool-age children can win $1,529 toward college through the Preschool to College Path Sweepstakes, offered by Georgia's Path2College 529 Plan and the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning. There is a possibility.
Parents, grandparents and guardians can enter the sweepstakes until the end of March.
Four children from across the state will be selected to receive $1,529 in Path2College savings contributions. Her $1,529 will also be given to the preschool program the winning child is enrolled in.
