Four people were killed Sunday afternoon when a gunman opened fire outside a party at a home in King City, California, police said.
According to a statement from the King City Police Department, a silver Kia pulled up outside a party venue on North 2nd Street on Sunday afternoon. Police said three men jumped out of the car and “fired several shots at partygoers in the front yard.”
“The suspects returned to their vehicle and fled the scene,” police said in a statement. “The suspects were wearing dark-colored clothing and had dark-colored masks on their heads. Their identities have not been determined and the case remains unsolved.”
According to the statement, police were called to the scene around 6 p.m.
Police said three men were pronounced dead outside the home, and a woman was taken to Mee Memorial Hospital, where she later died.
Three other men were taken to Natividad Hospital in Salinas for treatment, police said.
