A beauty guru has revealed how a DIY protein hair mask helped her grow her hair fast.
She recommended doing home hair care treatments every six to eight weeks for best results.

She showed how thicker and healthier her hair became after using a DIY protein treatment.

A beauty enthusiast, she parted her hair into small sections before applying the homemade mixture to her scalp.
She says it's made with a blend of eggs, coconut oil, melted shea butter, honey, one avocado, and hair mayonnaise.
Most products are available at your local grocery store, but hair mayonnaise is available at Amazon's Africa's Best store for $7.99.
Shoppers gave it a 4.4-star rating and wrote glowing reviews about how it improved the condition of their hair.

Omokenyi massaged the DIY hair treatment all over her hair before styling her hair in three buns.
“Wrap your hair in a plastic or nylon bag and secure with a scarf. Leave for 45 minutes and rinse,” reads the text on the screen.
She explained the benefits of the hair mask in the caption of the post.
“It's good to replenish hair protein from time to time to keep it healthy,” she said.
“I usually do a protein treatment every 6-8 weeks. Try this DIY protein treatment at home.”
She said she uses the Mega Growth series shampoo and conditioner for relaxed hair.
“Plastic bags work as a steaming option for me, but you can also use a steam cap if you want,” she said.
“After I wash this off, I'm going to shampoo it too.”
“I also do it every eight weeks when I relax and touch up my makeup. I'm definitely going to do it too,” she added.
Around 48,000 viewers liked the video, and hundreds revealed in the comments that they wanted to try the mask for themselves.
