Mobile World Congress in Barcelona always showcases the latest and greatest mobile technology to the world, and this year's show is no exception. We've had phones, laptops, smartwatches, wild concept products, and even robot dogs. While many things have gotten our blood pumping or at least raised an eyebrow (Barbie doll cell phones, we're looking at you), some things have gone even further and taken technology to the next level. It brings new and innovative features that deserve special mention.

Here are the top products from MWC 2024, as picked by CNET's Andrew Lanxon and Katie Collins, who walked miles scouring conference venues for the best the show had to offer.
Motorola's wearable phone concept
Motorola has always surprised us with quirky cell phone concepts, but its latest creation is particularly interesting. This bendable phone can bend on its own, so you can wear it like a bracelet when not in use, and when you want it back to a regular phone, just remove it and unfold it.

Being able to wear technology in this way feels particularly futuristic and we're really interested in it. Best of all, it saves space in your pocket for extra snacks. Unfortunately, this is just a concept at the moment, so don't expect it to launch any time soon.
samsung galaxy ring
Samsung teased the Galaxy Ring in January, but the company showed it off at MWC and let us try it on privately. We're still waiting to hear about many of Ring's key features and specs, but we do know that it will focus on sleep tracking and heart rate monitoring, as well as menstrual and reproductive cycle tracking.

Smartwatches have offered this feature for some time, but it's great to see health tracking technology built into such a small, discreet package, offering an alternative for people who aren't interested in sleeping with a bulky watch on. It's exciting to see.
humane AI pin
It's no surprise that AI was everywhere at MWC, appearing inside phones, laptops, and even a weird robot arm with a face right in front of it. But Humane AI Pin is a novel way to leverage technology, and we were surprised by how innovative it was.

Pins are just small squares that magnetically attach to your jacket. You can talk to your pins, ask them questions, and use them for various tasks. Our demo showed how to translate languages and perform basic tasks such as currency conversion, but it also learned how users speak to make it more natural when texting friends and family. You will be able to send messages.
Pin is not a phone accessory, it works completely independently, uses its own phone number, uses a simulated voice to answer questions out loud, and uses a laser to send text and images to your hand. Project and answer questions. If that's not cool, I don't know what is.
xiaomi 14 ultra
It wouldn't be a mobile technology show without at least one exciting phone announcement. Xiaomi's 14 Ultra is one of the most technology-packed phones we've ever seen. It features a multi-rear camera setup that includes a large 1-inch type image sensor with variable aperture, along with lens elements co-designed with legendary camera manufacturer Leica, giving it a major focus on photography. I'm guessing.
Although we have yet to properly rotate the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and put it through its photography paces, we have high hopes that it will become a powerful tool for photography. It also has the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 5,000mAh battery, 90W fast charging, and IP68 waterproofing, so even if you put the camera aside, it's still good enough to compete with other flagships on the market. It has the specs that allow it. this year.
Xiaomi SU7 EV
Xiaomi not only showed off its phones at this year's MWC, but also debuted its latest electric car, the Xiaomi SU7. This EV not only looks great, with its sleek, sporty design and bright blue paint job, but it's also packed with wild-sounding performance numbers.
Xiaomi touts a 0-60 mph time of just 2.78 seconds, thanks to a custom-made electric motor. The company also believes the SU7 will have a range of more than 470 miles on a single charge, making it one of the top-performing EVs currently available. But Xiaomi says the car can also be equipped with a larger battery, and with ultra-fast charging, just 15 minutes at a fast charger can put 317 miles of range back in the tank, giving it a range of over 700 miles. He also boasts that it is possible to reach that goal.
It remains to be seen whether these numbers actually hold up in real-world use.
Lenovo ThinkPad T Series Laptops
These laptops aren't necessarily super exciting enough to justify being on this list in and of themselves. That said, Lenovo has teamed up with tech repair advocacy group iFixit to make repairs easier for users. Designed to allow owners to easily replace batteries. Upgrade memory and storage. Replace the screen and keyboard. Also replace the ethernet port.
By making it easy to repair and upgrade your machine, you can keep your laptop working at its best for a long time before buying a new one. This means no new laptops need to be manufactured and shipped, reducing your carbon footprint and reducing the number of computers ending up in landfills.
Repairability and longevity are increasingly important aspects for all technology products as part of improving their environmental impact. It's great to see Lenovo taking steps to reduce the environmental footprint of its best-selling laptop product line.
