New Braunfels ISD calls $313 million May bond election
New Braunfels ISD voters will have the opportunity to vote for or against a $313 million bond election that could fund major high school campus projects, athletic facilities and technology across the district. You can get it.
The NBISD Board of Directors unanimously voted to hold a bond election at its Feb. 12 regular meeting. Voters will vote on three proposals on May 4.

If all three proposals on the ballot are approved, there will be no tax rate increase for taxpayers, district officials said.

New Braunfels ISD approves academic calendar for 2024-25 academic year
The 2024-25 academic calendar for New Braunfels ISD students and staff has been approved by the NBISD Board of Directors.

Comal ISD Board Approves Use of Chaplain in District
The chaplain will either volunteer with Comal ISD or be employed by Comal ISD, subject to approval by the board at its Feb. 22 meeting.

With the passage of Senate Bill 763 in the 88th Congress, chaplains can now be employed or volunteered by school districts to provide supports, services, and programs to students. The bill requires each committee in the state to vote on the bill by March 1.
