West Wing School art instructor Tricia Hilbert is the recipient of Artsonia's 2024 Arts Education Leadership Award. This award recognizes pioneers in the arts education community who continually inspire their peers and care about their students.
Hilbert's colleagues and Artosonia selected her from among thousands of instructors to be one of 15 national recipients of this award.
“I am so honored to be one of the teachers who received the Arts Education Leadership Award. This will be the last year of my career as I am retiring in May, so this award is a great way to end my career. is very special to me. I'm really excited,” Hilbert said.
Hilbert is in his 30th year as an art instructor.
“My inspiration to teach art comes from growing up in Tubac, Arizona, a small community of artists,” she said. “My summers were spent at the Community Center and Tubac Arts Center, learning different forms of expression from generous local artists who dedicated their time and talents to children in the community. Those memories stayed with me. ”
