Recently, infamous former trainee Han So Hee posted a cryptic story on her Instagram, writing, “There's talk that Hong Seung Han will be returning at the end of the year. I'm off to bed now.”
Fans were quick to take screenshots of the update and share them on Nate Pang, a popular Korean online community, and within hours the post went viral as netizens flocked to it, expressing their excitement for Seunghan's return to the group.
She has been embroiled in controversy surrounding the membership of RIIZE, but many fans believe her words cannot be trusted. She is notorious for being a pathological liar in order to gain attention, so her claims regarding Seunghan's return lack credibility, according to netizens.

Why is Seunghan on hiatus?
Meanwhile, Seunghan faced major backlash last year when his social media conversation with Tomorrow X Together member Soobin went viral. He was accused of disrespecting Le Sserafim member Eunchae. Fans tried to deny this, claiming it was a joke aimed at the TXT leader, but the criticism persisted.
The outrage over his actions was further fuelled by a video in which he was allegedly seen smoking. Half a day later, another video of the K-pop idol confessing to smoking went viral.
The allegations against Seunghan quickly escalated into a major controversy, leading SM Entertainment to announce that RIIZE would be on hiatus in November 2023. Since then, he has frequently made public appearances and responded to fan messages, but his return to the group is still uncertain.
Meanwhile, RIIZE was recently seen secretly leaving an event surrounded by an ambulance, umbrellas, curtains and boards completely blocking fans' view, with many onlookers claiming that the manner of the exit made it look like the agency was trying to hide Seunghan's return to the group from the public.
